The DZIF and its objectives

In 2012, the DZIF was founded as an affiliation of 32 university and non-university research establishments by the BMBF, in order to advance translational infection research in Germany. But what is its mission and what are its objectives?

At the DZIF, around 250 scientists in 35 member establishments research exiting topics in the field of infection research. Be it Ebola, hospital pathogens, emerging viruses or gastrointestinal infections—we promptly report the results.
