Junior Group Leader position in Translational Malaria Research
We invite applications from outstanding young scientists to establish an independent research group on translational malaria research. The candidate should have 2 - 6 years of postdoctoral training and an outstanding track record of accomplishments. The position will be funded by the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF, https://www.dzif.de/en/malaria) for 5 years starting 1 January 2021 and includes funding for personnel and consumables. The ideal candidate would establish collaborations with DZIF partners in Hamburg, Tübingen, Lambaréné or Kumasi. The group will be located at the Centre for Infectious Diseases, Parasitology, at Heidelberg University Hospital. Adequately furbished laboratories, including access to animal facilities, safety compartments, insectary, and state-of-the-art imaging and technology platforms, are available. The acquisition of additional extra-mural funding is expected.
