Annual GAIN Conference 2025

The German Academic International Network (GAIN) annually organizes an annual conference to provide a platform for internationally mobile academics from Germany exchange ideas with numerous representatives from the German academic landscape, politics and industry. The conference consists of panel discussions, workshops and lectures on the international academic landscape and career opportunities in Germany. At the extensive Talent Fair, you can also find out about specific funding and job opportunities in Germany and make contacts with research institutes, science organizations and universities.

A series of workshops and lectures will provide advice on how to develop your individual career. The focus will be on topics such as setting up junior research groups, applying for a professorship, careers in business and science management as well as strategies for dual-career couples and families. Various networking receptions round off the program. The aim is to facilitate an exchange on existing initiatives and to identify areas for development. Both subject-specific issues and practical tips for the time after the postdoc will be discussed.

Language
The event is mostly in German, but also offers workshops in English.
