Workshop

The DZIF core dataset in theory and practice—A workshop for eCRF managers

Standardized core datasets are a key tool for making research data comparable and easier to reuse. The DZIF core dataset is a tool tailored to the DZIF’s needs, but where can you find it, and how can you use it in practice?

Our workshop is aimed at anyone who designs and creates eCRFs (Electronic Case Report Forms) for clinical or other scientific studies. On the one hand, we would like to provide the necessary conceptual background knowledge on the DZIF core dataset; on the other hand, we aim to offer practical support for its implementation in your own eCRF.

Program

1. Content section:
- Introduction to core datasets: concept, purpose, and added value for research
- The DZG Core Dataset: background and sources
- The DZIF Core Dataset: structure, content, and application logic
- DZIF Explorer: overview of the central platform for DZIF research data
2. Practical session:
- Hands-on: Integrating the DZIF core dataset into study design and eCRF development
