Finding a cure for HIV—hope and progress

The DZIF, together with Münchner Aids-Hilfe, invites you to a public lecture and discussion evening focusing on current developments in HIV cure research and personal insights into living with HIV.

Dr. Julia Roider, senior physician for infectious diseases at LMU Hospital in Munich, will provide an overview of past and current research activities with a focus on DZIF projects. In addition, Marc Franke, internationally known as the “Düsseldorf patient” and DZIF Patient Advisory Board member, will share his personal story as one of the few people worldwide who has been documented as having been completely cured of HIV.

The event will include time for questions from the audience and an open discussion. The aim is to provide information about advances in HIV research, raise awareness of the ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis, and reduce stigma.

Admission is free, and registration is not required.
