Shaping the future of West Nile virus research in Europe

The symposium is organized by researchers from the DZIF and the French National Agency for Research on HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS MIE) and will take place at the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ESCMID Global) in Munich.

The symposium will focus on defining the future research priorities for West Nile virus (WNV) in Europe, emphasizing the need for stronger European scientifi ccollaboration. Bringing together experts in virology, entomology, ecology, climate science, clinical reearch, and public health, the symposium will explore how coordinated research eff orts can advance our understanding of WNV dynamics and strengthen outbreak preparedness in Europe.
