The DZIF Transplant Cohort collects and manages medical data and biological samples from patients who have undergone organ or stem cell transplants. A particular focus is on infections, for which immunocompromised individuals are at an increased risk following a transplant. The data and samples can be used in scientific studies to better understand the relationships between transplantation, pre-existing conditions, medication and infections, as well as to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
