iF DESIGN AWARD for the DZG magazine SYNERGIE
The joint magazine SYNERGIE of the German Centers for Health Research (DZG) has received an iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 in the field of communication—the second recognition for the magazine's outstanding design after winning the Berlin Type Award in Silver 2021.
Research for Health—in line with this motto, the German Centers for Health Research (DZG) highlight research progress in common diseases like diabetes, cancer and heart conditions or communicable diseases in its magazine SYNERGIE. The articles focus on the Centers’ translational successes. For each SYNERGIE issue, science communicators and designers work closely together to bring the interdisciplinary and networked research of the DZG to as many people as possible and to inspire a broad audience for the topics of the DZG. The graphic design of the magazine is in the hands of the wirDesign agency.
By conferring the iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 in the discipline "Communication", the jury honoured "the striking design" of the research magazine. The competition evaluates submissions from all over the world in a total of nine design disciplines. According to the jury, SYNERGIE makes science accessible to a broad public and "reflects the strength that lies in the collaboration between the Centers".
