Partner Sites
The DZIF unites 35 research institutions located at seven sites distributed throughout Germany. This distribution offers many advantages: It gives the DZIF researchers direct access to existing infrastructure at each research institute. To optimize this exchange, each site has appointed three scientists responsible for organizing the cooperation. All scientific work is thematically focused: Scientists who specialize in researching a given pathogen or method collaborate in their specialized field—regardless of whether they come from a university, hospital or non-university research establishment.
In addition to its seven permanent partner sites, the DZIF establishes flexible partnerships with other research institutions. These partnerships enable us to address current scientific issues more effectively and expand our network to include specific areas of expertise.
