Detailed description
Eubiosis (from Greek eu = good/pleasant and bios = life) describes the healthy, physiological state of the microbiome (e.g., on the skin, in the gut, or in the mouth), where microorganisms live in harmony with their host. Here, commensal and symbiotic species suppress the growth of pathogens and support the immune system and metabolism of the host. Eubiosis is the opposite of dysbiosis.
